Sterling: Rails To Trails: SF/ Bay Area Update
Our homie Jorge will be in SF / Bay Area for work *** Helping spread the message of turning abandoned railways into trails.
FRIDAY THE 7th
Location: @boxdogbikes
“On Friday, April 7th we’ll be hosting some friends from the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy @railstotrails and we would love for you to join us. For those unfamiliar, they are an awesome organization that advocates the transformation of unused railroad corridors into a network of multi-use trails. The relatively mellow grades make them a perfect way to travel on a fully loaded touring bike without having to worry about automobile traffic. The party will start at 6:30pm and we’ll have great music as usual and even better snacks and beverages to share. You may even win a cool prize! Hope to see you then!”
SATURDAY APRIL 8
Location: Rich City Rides Bike Shop
Address: 1500 Macdonald Ave.
Date Saturday, April 8, 2017
Time: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
“As winter ends and spring begins, join Rich City Rides and Rails to Trails Conservancy for a bike ride along the trails. In partnership with the Bay Area Air Quality Management District.
This year marks RTC’s fifth annual Opening Day for Trails! On Saturday, April 8, 2017, people across the nation will kick off the spring trail season by hitting their favorite trails for a walk, run, ride or special event.
Share how you plan to celebrate and explore trails on Opening Day with us and your friends on social media using #RTCOpeningDay! ”
