NYC Scene Report:Brooklyn Bike Jumble

Sep 14 2012

Harry and Nick, I think these guys are responsible for this event, cheers gents!
(Do i know one of these guys? Faces look semi-familiar.-T)

Damien, this brother would always show me mad love when I would come to NYC for messenger events. We hear he’s got a shop in RedHook now…..go buy a presta adapter at least!

Can someone please tell me why Pinarello stickers always fall off…

Some old maniac probably lost his mind over this rusty hunk, you gotta respect a fiend….

Early 6ay racer on the left being sold by Eddie Albert, not sure about the bike on the right, but the stem was so bizarre! Eddie was also an amateur racer in the NY area. His collection is amazing, definitely check out his website, http://www.thevintagebikelife.com
Eddie also wrote a book about famous NYC legendary frame builder Dick Power, A Dark Day in Sunnyside.

Totally feeling that NOS Giro commuter hemet in the forground…..oh look a Colnago

Some more choice pieces from Eddie Alberts table.

And finally….the High Priest Sam Fitzsimmons.

If you have a swap on the east coast and Sam isn’t there, did it really happen?
Infinite respect to this man.

Thanks to Isaac the Bike Messenger for the photos and info….till next year weirdos!
