DK Spring Classiker

Mar 29 2012

“Cookin’ the noodles till they swollow hole and phat – this is the Spring Classic!

In Denmark (Scandinavia, Europe, whatever) the weekend is up for some fixie-king pedalling, when we take a triangular bite (anti-clockwise) from Copenhagen to Kalundborg (110km) – Kalundborg to Nykøbing F (130km) – Nykøbing F back to Copenhagen (135km) each day, each stage Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
We named it The Dirty Triangle – and the route is indeed visible from the moon”

“Just finished the nice Spokecard – Hipster-mustache Transformer watermark (our logo) and our weathergirl celina http://blog.celinahilslev.com/ (the weather forecast on the spokecard is from another more warm and calm weekend) – the upcoming weekend will have winds up to 25mph but should stay dry.”

(Print this out, laminate it and tell everyone you raced and won)

“On our forum www.fixie-king.dk the discussions about gear ratio for the STORMY-trip has been the HOT and frightening topic (questions written with “sailors respect for the ocean”). We are setting of 5 riders on fixed and 1 possibly on gear [he has to do the lead-out in the wind then!] :-D.”

“The nights are spend at some of the riders parents place who lives in the triangle – well after we heavily has been visiting the local pubs of course. A point scoring system is effective on the whole trip:
20 points for making it to the startline
10 points for winning the stage (Town sign)
1 point for being the first to cross each town/city sign during the stage.
(and possibly extra scoring possibilities will be made during the stages :-)).

This race is the 1st. of 10 races for the 2012 Fixed Pro-Tour – other exciting Fixed Pro-Tour races in the near future that we are excited about as well:
Un Giro di Sporco Sud http://www.ungirodisporcosud.com/2012/en.html 21st. april
Dark Jutland Criterium http://fixie-king.dk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=13724 12th. may
Naar Amsterdam – our 900km race to Holland! 9th.-15th. July

All races are open for entry – also the one this Friday go go go

This is it! – looking forward to upload the completed stages on Strava as we hit the 3 edges on the triangle.
